Since the 1980’s, I have produced hundreds of shows in the Bay Area, including outdoor festivals, benefits, educational assemblies, street fairs, parades, band performances, and more.

Composition & Sound Design
My work as a composer and sound designer explores the intersection of global musical traditions, technology, stories, and community engagement. Alliances with choreographers from ODC/Dance, 13th Floor, and Tara Pilbrow Dance have challenged me to think about sound not just as music, but as a narrative and emotional landscape that supports movement, story, and place.

Public Art Experiences
Since 2008, I have produced many free public art walks and events in Alameda’s city parks, at site-specific waterfront locations, and have featured local artists’ work in exhibitions in empty storefront windows.

Interactive Entertainment
My early work in the 1980’s with the all-women ensemble D’CuCKOO marked the beginning of my exploration into building custom electronic instruments and developing audience interaction techniques. Experimenting with MIDI-based controllers and interactive “show-toys” sparked a lifelong interest in creating public spaces where audience members become active participants.

Music & Recording
My artistic process is rooted in collaboration and improvisation, that often evolves into compositions shaped collectively with other performers. My musical endeavors have always been inspired by my travels and a curiosity about how communities come together through rhythm, movement, and sound.
